Your role

To ensure you succeed, you will be joining a supportive team, have opportunities for personal development and importantly the training and development needed to get the job done. Reporting to the Service Operations Manager you will be responsible for providing routine maintenance and on-site or remote technical support opportunities. This position involves extensive travelling sometimes to remote areas and interstate, as you will be providing hands-on assistance at customer sites. 

Your responsibilities:

• Completing your electrical apprenticeship while performing service tasks like installation and commissioning of equipment, identifying technical problems, and making analyses through remote or on-site activity in different service categories (installation and commissioning, routine maintenance, extensions, replacements etc.).
• Training with our highly skilled team on Protection Relays
• Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, appreciating their needs and providing specialist assistance and solutions.
• Coordinating and executing specialist projects through planning, meeting milestones and regular reviews.
• Troubleshooting simple equipment failures and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
• Identifying opportunities to develop new service applications, equipment and method.

About you

Here’s what we are looking for with this role:

• Tertiary qualification in technical field (Electrical preferred)
• Trade or hands on experience in Mechanical or Electrical applications.
• Sound knowledge in electrical testing fundamentals
• Strong customer-centric approach and negotiation skills.
• Computer literate (MS Office)
• Strong communication skills.
