About the role

An opportunity exists for an Environmental Service Worker to join our team at Golden Age Aged Care Service in the delivery of essential services to our residents. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role. You will be responsible for working and assisting across kitchen, laundry and cleaning duties in a variety of areas including the main kitchen, kitchenettes, servers, bedrooms, dining rooms and cleaning areas.
Within this casual position, you may be required to work weekends, AM and PM shifts.

About you

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and yet can work autonomously. You have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable;
  • Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
  • Current National Police Certificate;
  • Experience in working in kitchens, preferably within the Aged Care industry;
  • Experience in operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry;
  • Willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 7 day week;
  • Possessor has the ability to obtain a National Police Check;
  • Provide evidence of current Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations.
