About the role
This opportunity will suit someone wanting a varied and challenging role supported by dedicated and caring Service Leaders. Delivering a great work/life balance and a valued supportive role, you will be working alongside clients with differing support needs providing them with the assistance they require to live independently in their own homes.
In this role, you will work a flexible roster between 6.30 am and 6.30 pm.
As a Certified/Qualified Home Care Worker the types of support you will provide, include:
- Medication assistance;
- Personal Hygiene assistance;
- Transport to appointments;
- Shopping assistance;
- Social support;
- Helping with domestic duties ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes.
To be suited to the role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Home and Community) or Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or equivalent;
- Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication and CHCCCS011 - Meet personal support needs;
- Experience in providing excellent customer service;
- A current driver's licence and willing to use own insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house & manual work;
- A current First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to complete;
- A current National Police Check or willingness to complete;
- Evidence of a current Influenza vaccination and all Covid vaccinations.
