About the role

No two days are the same for our unqualified and qualified Home Care Workers. The opportunities will suit someone wanting a varied role supported by dedicated and caring Service Leaders.

As an Unqualified or Qualified Home Care Worker, the types of support you will provide include:

  • Helping with domestic duties, shopping, meal preparation and other housework;
  • Ensuring safe and hygienic living conditions in their own homes;
  • Assisting with activities of daily living;
  • Personal care, including showering, dressing, continence care;
  • Participating in the review and support of clients' care plans;
  • Transporting clients to and from appointments outside the local area;
  • Assisting with weekly group activities;
  • Assisting with medication (qualified applicants only).

Within this position, you may be required to work a range of weekend, AM and PM shifts. New Certificate III graduates are encouraged to apply as you will be backed by a highly skilled and committed Home Care team.

About you

Understanding the importance of providing quality support to our clients, you feel rewarded by creating a genuine impact. It is important that you are a confident relationship builder, as you will be a trusted person in our clients' homes.

To be suited to these positions, you will have:

  • A current driver's licence and willing to use own insured and reliable vehicle for work purposes (km's paid);
  • Physical capacity to carry out the duties required, including house & manual work;
  • A current First Aid & CPR Certificate or willingness to complete;
  • A minimum Certificate III in Aged Care, Individual Support or equivalent - qualified applicants;
  • Completion or willingness to complete the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication and CHCCCS011 - Meet personal support needs – qualified applicants;
  • Possess or has the ability to obtain a National Police Check, a current Influenza vaccination and COVID vaccinations.
