About the role

The Lifestyle Assistant is responsible for assisting with recreational and leisure activities across our four seniors living communities on the Gold Coast.

In this highly varied role you will:

  • Transport residents to and from activities;
  • Assist with development and delivery of leisure and recreational activities;
  • Support residents to participate in activities; attend to the personal care needs as required;
  • Assist with the regular review and improvement of activities;
  • Maintain accurate documentation of activities including evaluation of individual resident programs and plans.

About you

Whether it be a concert or a day out on the bus, your main goals are to motivate, inspire and involve the residents. You will have excellent customer service skills with a fun-loving nature along with compassion and understanding of individual needs.

In order to be successful in this role your knowledge, skills, qualifications should include:

  • Relevant experience in an aged care setting or similar environment providing leisure and health services;
  • Physically fit manual handle equipment such as wheelchairs;
  • A current Light Rigid Licence;
  • Possess, or have the ability to acquire, a National Police Certificate and an NDIS Worker Screening Check;
  • Current Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations.
