About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct care to residents and assisting residents in the undertaking of daily living activities that meet the resident's individual physical, spiritual, social and cultural needs.

During your varied day you will:

• Provide personal care and physical and emotional support to residents who require assistance with daily living, including e.g. mobility assistance to and from activities, meals, social outings and clinical care; provide medication assistance to residents;
• Participate in the development and review of resident/client care plans; complete charting and report any observed changes; ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate to facilitate ongoing planning and provision of care for residents;
• Maintain the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives and staff, and ensure that all interactions with residents and their representatives are treated confidentially;
• Support and assist in the provision of a comfortable, safe and secure environment;
• Undertake food handling, preparation, cooking, cleaning, distribution and serving of meals to residents;
• Undertake and complete tasks as delegated by Registered/Enrolled Nurse.

About you

You have a compassionate nature and love being around and caring for seniors. You are a positive individual who works well with others and is always happy to support your team members.

Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally should include:

• Minimum Certificate III in Aged Care/Community Care or equivalent;
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts, including morning afternoons and nights across a 7-day week;
• Posses or have the ability to acquire a current National Police Certificate, current flu vaccination and all COVID vaccinations.

Experience in aged care is highly regarded but not essential. Importantly, you will be someone who closely aligns with our organisational values of Unconditional Love, Continual Innovation, Mutual Trust Wise Stewardship and Safety.
