Cook - TAFE Students preferred (Start ASAP)

An opportunity exists for an experienced Cook to provide a variety of nutritious food to our much-loved residents. Using your cooking experience, you will actively contribute to establishing high standards of hospitality services for our residents and participate in continuous improvement.

Your day to day tasks will include:

• food handling, preparation and basic cooking;
• maintaining hygiene standards;
• undertaking basic record keeping;
• stock control.

You are passionate about preparing creative and innovative food. You have a comprehensive understanding of legislation relevant to the industry plus knowledge and application of safe food hygiene practices.

Your experience and qualifications for this role ideally should include:

• A Certificate III in Cookery is desirable but not essential;
• Experience in Aged Care or commercial kitchens;
• Demonstrated knowledge of food hygiene control and cleaning chemicals used in a kitchen;
• Possess or have the ability to obtain a current National Police Certificate, 2021 Influenza vaccination and COVID-19 vaccinations.
