About the Opportunity

The QTU is seeking a Receptionist to provide an exceptional first point of contact to our clients and members. 

While no two days will be the same, your tasks will include:

  • Being the first point of contact via phone, e-mail or face to face. 
  • Directing calls/e-mails to the appropriate section.
  • Greeting visitors, tradespersons, contractors and issuing visitor passes/sign in/out.
  • Communicating leave and absentee notifications to the appropriate section.
  • Receiving and organising deliveries via couriers.
  • Conducting front of house duties such as maintaining a well-presented Reception area/meeting rooms and ordering consumables. 
  • Providing administrative support in times of high workload such as scanning and word processing.  

About You

To be successful in this position you will have: 

  • A high level of written and verbal communication. 
  • Strong organisational skills and the capability to successfully manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • Team player with a positive attitude. 
  • Experience in reception and or administration is required
